CALL FOR ENTRIES

Emerging Clay Artists of Southeast

Exhibition at Blue Spiral 1

January 4 Ñ February 24, 2007

Blue Spiral 1, Asheville, NC, is looking for work by emerging clay artists (young educators, artists in residence, exceptional students, recent graduates, etc.)  Artists must be Southeastern: AL, AR, D.C., FL, GA, KY, LA, MD, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA & WV.

ALL STYLES CONSIDERED - functional, sculptural, wood-fired, hand built, etc

Entries must be received by September 30th, 2006.

Please Submit:

•  Résumé detailing education, grants, fellowships, awards, teaching positions, exhibitions and gallery affiliations.

•  15 images of current and available work produced within the past two years. We will consider slides, digital prints, or photographs of your work. Due to the structure of our review process, we cannot accept portfolios sent to us on CD or contained within an email.

•  ID sheet listing medium, size, date, and retail price of each piece.

•  Self addressed, stamped envelope large enough for the return of your materials.

Blue Spiral 1 makes every effort to safeguard submitted materials but we cannot be responsible for loss or damage.

Submissions should be sent to the attention of Emerging Clay Artists, Lorienne Schulze.

Please do not bring original work to the gallery to accompany your portfolio.  After the review, we will set up a First Hand Review if we would like to see originals pieces.
