"Luminous glazes of color currently dominate my works. Existing within these fields of strong pigment are heavily worked layers. Suggesting the passage of time, an archeological accumulation, these forms and marks emerge and are covered up. They lead a mixed life of both strong declaration and subtle relinquishment., " states Barringer.
