Barbara Webster is a quiltmaker living in the mountains of western North Carolina. Starforest Quilts grew out of her desire to create. It has evolved into helping create jobs for local people. A percent of her profits goes to organizations that help preserve farmland and wilderness.

The "Digital" quilts are made by shooting pictures with a digital camera, designing the quilt on the computer, then printing the images on fabric. The fabric is then cut apart and assembled to match the original computer design. Once pieced, the fabric is then quilted. Some of the pieces are printed on 100% polyester, others are 100% cotton. The fabrics are machine washable and colorfast
